I would like to try the Drupal CMS release candidate locally, as instructed from this web page:

BUT when I run './launch-drupal-cms.sh' at the command line DDEV stops (it even no starts, I would say) with the following error message
Apptype must be one of backdrop, cakephp, craftcms, django4, drupal, drupal6, drupal7, laravel, magento, magento2, php, python, shopware6, silverstripe, typo3, wordpress
Exit Code 3
I am running ddev version v1.23.5 on MAC OS X with homebrew

What am I doing wrong?

Try updating to DDEV 1.24.0 (latest version); does it persist?

Indeed upgrading to DDEV 1.24.0 fixed my issue ...
Automatically closed - issue fixed for 2 weeks with no activity.
Thanks, it was solved by updating ddev to the version v1.24.3
