"Insert value from widget" not fully working?

Problem/Motivation

I am using a taxonomy checkbox field to control a text list checkbox field inside a custom content type. If I select the value by the "Insert value from widget" option the conditional field doesn't show up. Using "Single value (XOR)" it does.

I found several unsolved issues concerning this topic, so I was wondering if this is still in progress or unknown yet. Or maybe I am doing something wrong.

I am on Drupal 10.3.10.
