All users logged out after upgrade 2.1.1

Problem/Motivation

After the upgrade from 2.0.0-alpha2 to 2.2.1 all users are logged out. This most likely due to strict typing and especially because the account status flag is now explicitly casted to a bool (see services_token.module.

Steps to reproduce

Upgrade to 2.2.1.
