Fix invalid fetchCol() parameter

Problem/Motivation

The fetchCol() method requires an integer parameter. The default is 0. We are passing a string in several places. Code was committed in 8af78f2c and 8ddc835a.

Proposed resolution

Remove the string parameter so the default is used.
