File migration error due to hardcoded path in database

Problem/Motivation

We have a development environment on Acquia that is set up with the migration module. I am having an issue trying to migrate public files.

The solution offered on the message board is "There is a hardcoded files directory in the file path. This is wrong in the Drupal 7 source database too, please fix it there, refresh the source database and rollback & import this migration."

I don't know how to fix this in D7.

I think the error is in the script running the migration. I can't find anything hardcoded in the path directory of image entries in the file_managed table for my Drupal 7 installation.
