Update module description

Problem/Motivation

The description of the module needs to be reviewed and updated to ensure it is clear what the purpose of the module is and how it can be used.

Steps to reproduce

• Open the homepage of the module
• The text is not properly formatted and some additional information is missing

Proposed resolution

• Update the existing module page and add text to the project description as necessary

Remaining tasks

• Reformat the existing text
• Update the description where needed
