Sorry, but this is wrong. This error is not related to no standard input. By definition, a multiple select can be multiple=multiple or only multiple both are right. The path is to allow and accept both.
The module doesn't work with select2 (with better exposed filters) when you select multiple values.
Add a filter multiple to views (type select). Enable better exposed filter and select plugin select2. You see instead multiple=multiple the code show multiple and the js is returing select instead select multiple for process and continue with the filter after click to delete.
Change the js to check if has the attribute multiple.
