Account menu does not support multi-level menus

I encountered this when trying to get the second level to appear on a user account menu and it did not. The template used was menu--account.html.twig which extends menubar.html.twig

Perhaps this is intentional. Maybe it is an enforcement of the opinion that a user account menu should not have multiple levels.
