There are quite a bit of issues in the queue regarding token replacements not working so I'm filing this as a support request in case this has been answered or resolved an I missed it when reading the old issues.
I'm using ECA to create message entities and to set field data on the message. I'm then using the [message:field_foo] tokens in the message body. None of the tokens work.
I used the patch from ✨ Remove message_token_info and let Token module define all tokens RTBC to see if that helps, but it didn't resolve the issue.
I read the documentation based regarding Tokens, and I can't see anything I'm doing wrong. I tried Full HTML and Basic HTML and I also tried using the Token Filter module.
I'd appreciate any pointers, I don't know what I'm missing here. Thanks.

Using the linked patch from your description solved the problem for me.
It might sound obvious but have you tried to copy and paste it directly from token browser to make sure the correct token syntax was used?
In my experience the right token syntax can sometimes be quite confusing.
