Generated WebP image was white when originally uploaded

Problem/Motivation

Client reported an issue today when creating a node with a Media Entity and uploaded a new PNG file with a transparent background. When the node was saved with the new media entity attached (which was placed as a reusable media entity managed through the Media Library module), the WebP image that was generated was a completely white image.

In troubleshooting the issue, I pulled the original image that was uploaded from the web server and created a new node, and the resulting WebP image was displaying as expected.
