Pull package from packages.drupal.org with composer v2.4.2 failed

Problem/Motivation

When I try to install contrib module from packages.drupal.org
It retrun " NOT supported. You should upgrade to Composer 2 now! "
but the version of composer I used is 2.4.2, and I also check the request, the User-Agent is Composer/2.4.2.

The metadata in https://packages.drupal.org/8/packages.json has warning-versions:"<1.99"

I bet the ability to interpret that was added after Composer 2.4.2. Upgrading Composer should be a good solution for this.
