README does not mention metatag_data_encode

📌 Add a function for abstracting the field data encoding method Fixed introduced a new helper function for encoding field values. This provides an API that allows both 1.x and 2.x to be supported. The README documentation still recommends using serialize directly, which does not work in 2.x
