Update layout builder restrictions to version 3

Problem/Motivation

I am trying to install https://www.drupal.org/project/vlsuite →

It requires layout builder restrictions module version 3, but commerce kickstart is using version 2.

Should I just update the commerce kickstart composer.json for now or I should wait?

Because when there is an update, the composer.json will go back to its original. Correct?
