Breadcrumbs no longer work for path alias segments

We have the following path alias pattern setup for one of our content types: blog/[node:field_blog_category:0]/[node:title]

Before upgrading from 2.0.7 to 2.0.8 the breadcrumbs worked for this, eg. the URL blog/mycategory/mytitle would display breadcrumbs Home / Blog / My Category / My Title.

But after upgrading the category breadcrumb no longer displays: Home / Blog / / My Title
