Current module only works with global endpoints

Created on 14 October 2024, 4 months ago

Problem/Motivation

The current module works wonderful as long as the Azure translation service is global.

I am working with a Government client and the Government Azure services do not allow for global services, this is only available in the commercial services. Is there a patch or some way to make this module work with a regional i.e. government service?

Steps to reproduce

Try to connect this module to anything other than a Global Azure translation service and it will not work

Proposed resolution

Perhaps a patch, a collaboration?

I will look into if a patch would work or if it would require creating a seperate module. I am wondering if anyone else is running into this issue?

I am working on a custom module that I may add as a contribution module. The module will allow Azure AI translations using the REST API and that works with regional services. If anyone is interested in this module, please let me know.
