Problem/Motivation

Drupal 11 is out, we should release a version which is compatible with it.

We need to decide how to move forward. Our current 2.0.x branch is compatible with Drupal 8.8+, which has been obsolete for a long time. We need to adopt a change record ([#3344141]) which requires a hard break with anything below 10.1.0.

We can either opt to make a new 3.0.x release, or make a new 2.1.0 release which drops support for anything below 10.1.x.

Remaining tasks

As reported by Upgrade Status:

  1. modules/contrib/field_inheritance/src/Form/FieldInheritanceAjaxForm.php: Instantiation of deprecated class Drupal\views\Ajax\ScrollTopCommand. Deprecated in drupal:10.1.0 and is removed from drupal:11.0.0. Use Drupal\Core\Ajax\ScrollTopCommand
  2. modules/contrib/field_inheritance/field_inheritance.info.yml: Value of core_version_requirement: ^8.8 | ^9 | ^10 is not compatible with the next major version of Drupal core. See https://drupal.org/node/3070687.
