Thanks for flagging! I'll add some checks in the code but can I check you ran updb?

Okay MR added; basically if you have not yet gone to the Search API Index -> Fields, and saved indexing options, that config won't yet exist for the index.

We are releasing next version soon and having this in doesn't hurt at least, so merging for now. Please re-open if there is something more.
