The "hide non-narrowing results" option is not working

Problem/Motivation

I have a facet that allows me to filter a display of nodes by taxonomy term. I have configured the facet to hide non-narrowing results by checking the appropriate box. However, the facet continues to display checkboxes for options where the number of results indicated on the facet option is identical to the current number of results in the display. I consider these options "non-narrowing" as they would result in the same display if checked, and per the configuration of the facet they should not be shown.

Steps to reproduce

I am using Drupal 10.3.5, Search API 8.x-1.35, and Facets 2.0.8. My facet is configured as follows:

• Widget: List of checkboxes
• List of checkboxes settings:
  • Show the amount of results
  • No soft limit
• Build hierarchy tree (checked and not user editable)
• Hide non-narrowing results
• Transform entity id to label
• URL handler (checked and not user editable)
• Hide facet when facet source is not rendered
• Empty facet behavior: Do not display facet
• Hard limit: no limit
• Minimum count: 1
• Weight: 0
• Facet sorting:
  • Sort by count: descending
  • Sort by display value: ascending

I have not modified the advanced options.
