is there a way to add the count for the best selling products? I want to use this in the administration area for reporting.

Thank you for the idea @rgnyldz! I've created a special block for statistics called "Best Selling Products Statistics." It can be placed anywhere and configured in a similar manner. You can see an example of the block's content.
It would be available in newest tag release 8.x-3.14
