This new module's 2.0.0-alpha1 release was posted on Sept. 4, 2024, while the latest 8.x-1.1 update of your module was on May 3, 2024 ...
As such, it doesn't appear that this 8.x-1.1 (or similar) module release will be compatible with the new contributed Book module (?).
So I suppose this post is first to confirm that, and second to request a new branch that will be compatible with the new Book module.

I didn't think much about the book module being deprecated and unavailable from D11.
The 8.x branch will certainly remain available for 8,9,10 but if you look there is a 3.x branch (semantic version) that might be right for you.
I'll work on it as soon as possible.
