Does this module use the Statistics module's count?

Problem/Motivation

Hi everyone. I have a website whose page count is done with the Statistics module, which used to be part of Drupal's core and is now a standalone module.

I'm having trouble inserting the counter into the nodes and would like to know if this module integrates with the Statistics module, using the existing count.

I looked for information in the README.txt file, but there is no information. I also looked in the issues, but I couldn't find the information.
