Is this an abandoned module?

Problem/Motivation

Hi guys, is this an abandoned module?

It was working quite well last year. It started failing on builds (Composer errors) but I could make use of it with several workarounds to deal with D9 modules than no longer worked in composer. Now it's just not working. It migrates very little content and recently when updating my Accelerated D9 site that was almost ready to put live from the source site, I lost more than 90% of my content.

I just need to know whether I should cut my losses and move on or whether there is any hope that Migrate Accelerate will be updated to work with the current state of Drupal/Composer/PHP. I'm fine with handling migrations long-hand in the CLI but I had very high hopes for this toolset and I have lined up several fairly complex Drupal sites to Migrate before January 2025.

As far as I know, Acquia is not allocating any resources to this project anymore. They made everything open source available then laid off those who were working on it.

@dan612, I'm so sorry to hear that. It was a really great project while it was working. I modded it a few times to keep it working as I migrated some very large sites but then I had to abandon it and run migrations the old fashioned way because it was breaking everything.

@wasson it was and is still a great idea! i would imagine demand for such a solution given the recent D7 EOL would be high as well. it wasnt perfect, but made it easy to work through migrations

It is strange that Drupal HQ would neglect / abandon this module because surely a more difficult migration process means that more D7 sites will abandon Drupal and go to other platforms.
