how to make the first tab(button) to be auto focused

On load the first item has the class active and it is focused tabindex 0, https://unitedstarsofamerica.com/vanilla-views/views-vanilla-javascript-....
It is on the module's homepage under Tabs - Developer & Site Builder Tips.
