I've been using Search-Api-Solr for a little while and have just used the basic data types: string, fulltext, boolean, integer. I'm trying to figure out what all of the other Fulltext types do and when to use them. Ones like "Fulltext edge string", "Fulltext string", etc. We have some cases where we can't find things like 'EXST-5-1' and some other cases.
Can you tell me how to figure out or where to look to find out what each type does? I'm not a Solr expert at all. I think our search could be much better if we are properly using the right types.

Read the field type yamls to see which Solr analyzers and filters are used and how they're configured. Read the Solr documentation to learn what the mean and which options exists.
I agree that the default field types provided by the module should be documented. So any contribution is welcome!
