Problem/Motivation

I got this mesage when trying to build drupal-org-core.make.

Building core.
simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity "" Project.php:96 [warning]
Failed to get available update data from https://updates.drupal.org/release-history/drupal/7.x [error]
No core project specified. [error]
Drush Make failed to download all projects. See the log above for the specific errors.

Could you please help find a solution or explain why this could be happening? Thanks

Is this still happening? Is it happening consistently?

I checked the CDN cache of this URL, and everything looks fine. Some time has passed, so I expect there may have been a temporary problem with caching or your server’s route to updates.drupal.org.

If this is still ongoing - are you able to load https://updates.drupal.org/release-history/drupal/7.x in a browser or with curl -v https://updates.drupal.org/release-history/drupal/7.x
