React Comments do not load on comments added via a views field

Problem/Motivation

I'd like to have comments for an entity available on a view, by default this is a bit janky as it goes back to the edit page when saving, and needing to refresh all the time isn't great if using the somewhat busted ajax_comments module.

Installing this module had no effect and standard drupal comments were available. As it says on the project page, but one can hope and those are often out of date. :)

Steps to reproduce

Add a comments field to an entity, create a view with fields of that entity, add in field for comments to the view.

Proposed resolution

Have it work on comments loaded in a view. This seems to be more massive of an undertaking than it seems from an intuitive standpoint.
