@Berdir Thanks for the review! Fixed the issues. Since VISA will stop working without 3DS, I think some boilerplate 3DS handling has its place in contrib.

I'm a bit confused about the situation, we sent a request to datatrans support last week in context of the payment_datatrans integration that we still use in a project and got this feedback:
According to Visa Bulletin AI13666, merchants must submit the required data starting August 12th. However, Visa has indicated that the 3DS process will not be negatively impacted if a merchant does not submit this data.
In the future, if Visa notices that many merchants are not complying with these requirements, they reserve the right to impose additional processing fees. Should this occur, Visa will notify merchants well in advance.
[...]
As for the time being no denials will come from Visa's side - our Developers are currently working on additional solutions to have them ready in case Visa 3DS becomes mandatory for payment approval.
In answer to your questions: no immediate changes are required from your side, and you are not currently impacted. If Visa decides to implement new charges for non-compliance with the 3DS requirements, they will provide an official and reasonable timeframe for all parties to adapt.
To be honest, I'm even more confused about this than before. It's required but not having it won't impact anything? What does that even mean?
They also offered that they could make name fields visible on the credit card form on their side. Because I have some concerns that the name we have in Drupal might not actually be the name on the credit card and it might be worse to have the wrong name as opposed to no name?

Yes, these two names might not necessarily coincide although at least in Hungary we have some rule that they should. (I.e. I cannot pay with my personal card if I ask for an invoice for some company.)
