`ddev describe` does not show Milvus back-end

That's because it's currently just a ddev compatible docker-compose definition.

I definitely think we should do a proper DDEV AddOn for it, at which point what you're describing will be possible!

Yes, and when it has a defined VIRTUAL_HOST either provided or overridden, it will reflect that in ddev describe per https://github.com/ddev/ddev/pull/6136.
