I get the following error when trying to install Varbase Media 10.0.3 on a vanilla install of Drupal 10.3.0

Error message
The directory does not exist. An automated attempt to create this directory failed, possibly due to a permissions problem. To proceed with the installation, either create the directory and modify its permissions manually or ensure that the installer has the permissions to create it automatically. I just wanted to update you all with a work around.

To install Varbase Media without no issues i had to create the roles with machine names editor and content_admin prior to the install.

In adition to go ahead and install Varbase Heroslider, i had to create the roles seo_admin and site_admin prior to the install.

My suggestion is to create all 4 roles (editor, content_admin, seo_admin and site_admin roles) prior to installing/enabling these varbase modules. I think the modules should check if the exist and create them if they don't or remove these checks if they are not needed.
