Problem/Motivation

Since we added a .gitlab-ci.yml in 📌 Investigate search_api_opensearch as base for elasticsearch_connector Fixed , the GitLab Templates project → has updated from version 1.2.3 to 1.5.1.

Also, the Elasticsearch container we are using to run tests has updated from version 8.12.1 to 8.14.1. Note that there is discussion in 📌 [CI] Use latest Elasticsearch release on tests Active about using the :latest tag or similar — that discussion is ongoing, so this ticket should just manually bump the version number, and let decisions about which image tag to use be left to that discussion.

Proposed resolution

Upgrade .gitlab-ci.yml to version 1.5.1.

Upgrade the Elasticsearch container we are using to run tests to version 8.14.1.
