Webform Encrypt Permissions not Saving

Hello,
I am using the 2.0.0.-alpha1 versio of this module on a Drupal 10 site. And have noticed that the permission "View Encrypted Values in Webform Results" cannot be applied for the "Authenticated User role. It has been applied to the administrator role but not to any other role that exists or is created after.

I did note that if I uninstall and reinstall the module then the permissions assignments work...however this is not an potion now as fields have already bee configured to be encrypted in the webform....so I am not sure what an uninstall/reinstall will do to existing data
Please help with this.
