Interim release prior to 10.3 cutover?

Problem/Motivation

Would it be possible to do an interim release for the commit before the 10.3 version cutover? We're using the dev branch, and found yesterday that when we did a composer update, it forced the site in question to upgrade to 10.3. Given the issues with other contrib modules not having updates for the backwards compatibility break for ImageStyleDownloadController::deliver → , I wouldn't say 10.3 is ready for prime time yet.

If it's not thought to be necessary, I can always switch to 3.0.0 and apply patches up to where we want, but a proper release might be useful for other users of Ableplayer.

Steps to reproduce

  • Start with 10.2 site with Ableplayer
  • Switch to latest dev-3.x
  • composer update

Proposed resolution

Cut a patch release (3.0.1?) on the commit before the 10.3 version cutover.

  • Decide whether to cut release
  • Cut release, or don't
