I've made some mistakes over the years with caption/credit fields and I think Sous might be remaking some of those mistakes with its fields on media bundles.
Think of whatever news site you normally use (CBC.ca for me). A single image might be used on several different articles, but with different captions. Captions are often used as article headings/teasers/pull-quotes rather than a description of the photo's contents. That means that captions generally should not be tied to the image, but rather the component.
When I create a new image I'm mostly confused by this field. What's it mean? How is it going to be used? While some site designs might make use of an image description, I think most will not. My vote is to remove this.
In my experience, each photo provider has specific requirements about how to credit their photos. While _some_ might be "©2024 by Alex Doe", others might be "photo by Alex Doe", or "CC BY-NC-SA". My vote is to rename this as "Credit" and add some help text to give some of these examples.
I think we're intending these as administrative tags. I.e. a tool to help you more easily find the image that you need. If not, I recommend removing. if yes, then I recommend:
* Rename as "Administrative Tag"
* Add help text "Add tags to help you find photos later. One tag per line. examples:
Here be dragons. What do you want to happen if someone unpublishes an image? Should those images disappear from the pages where they are used? That would break those pages. Instead, it would be better to use Entity Usage module to show a list of all places where the image is used, and the editor goes and manually decides what to do on those pages. At the very least we should remove the "Published" field.
I don't think this is useful. What sort of message are you going to add? "Edited credit" "Moved focal point". That's not helpful. My vote is to remove.
With 2 fields on tab 1, and 3 fields on tab 2, the tabs just aren't useful anymore.
I don't think the "Link text" is a good idea here. Each site will have a standardized way to show this a "View transcript" button or the like. My vote is to keep this a link-only field.
For videos, I recommend omitting the title field and setting it to auto-populate from the source video.
Stock install. I chose the "Paragraphs" recipe, but I don't think it matters, I think this comes in all recipes.
See above. Remove some fields, rename some others, add some help text.
