Support for Smart Date recurring dates

Problem/Motivation

According to the project's description this is exactly the sort of functionality we are looking for except that we need it to work with Smart Date recurring fields rather than Date Recur fields. Could you provide support for Smart Date recurring fields, or describe what would need to be done to support them? The project I am working on that could use the feature is open to sponsoring you to develop it.

Thanks for your module, I am still in the process of exploring this module and trying to get it to work with date recur fields but if does work as described and can eventually support Smart Date recurring fields it would be a great help.

    I'm unlikely to add support for smart date myself, and I think adding it into this module will complicate things as the two date systems appear to be completely different.

    Furthermore, there's not going to be much use case for BOTH systems at the same time -- surely people will have picked one date module or the other. So everyone installing a hybrid module will have 50% dead code. So there's the extra maintenance burdenof two systems for no benefit.

    I think you're best off stealing the way that this module declares items to SearchAPI and using that in a separate contrib module.
