In order to get Project Browser ready for Starshot, and supporting recipes properly, we need to make a lot of changes to its PHP API, which in 1.0.x was largely built with the assumption that everything is a module. We've already been introducing breaking changes, but rather than release them now, it might make sense - to continue to play nicely with semver - to branch 2.0.x and continue the work there, and cease making any further releases from the 1.0.x branch.
