running on Drush version 12 ?

i would like to use this script in a Drupal 10 / Drush 12 environment

however, installing it is a problem. the "dl" command doesn't seem to be part of the Drush 12 command set and there's no substitute given.

(this makes me think that it might need installing via composer instead?)

running this:

drush @none dl utf8mb4_convert-7.x

gives

Command "dl" is not defined.

i feel like i am missing something very obvious here... anyone know a solution for this?

or is this plug-in simply not going to work in Drush 12, no matter what?

(if the answer is to copy utf8mb4_convert.drush.inc to the .drush folder, that's great. my current setup is running multiple versions of drush for different sites and i have to user vendor/bin/drush instead of drush and there's no .drush folder yet... if that's the best solution, then i will find a way to make that work. i just don't want to go there if the maintainers are sure this plugin won't work in Drush 12 / D10 at all.)
