Deep linking to a folder?

When saving on a media form, I get returned to the root folder in the media directory.
I would like to get to the folder of the media instead.

Is there a route that can be used to this to fx. add to the media form submit handler?

When do you experience this behavior? Is that on the general media overview, or when you are in a node, working on content (using a field or CKEditor)?
