Backdrop port

Problem/Motivation

I am interested in working with Backdrop and have a need to have this module ported.

Steps to reproduce

Try installing the module in Backdrop. It fails.

Proposed resolution

Create a new repo on my personal account, request Backdrop contribution introduction, and contribute the port.
