CCK & Token: performance issue on a large site

Hello.

I'm trying to enable Token module on a site with 60+ content types and 70+ fields. 3-4 minutes after I submit the modules form, I get a blank page.

I have 128M memory and 6000 seconds max_execution_time set in php.ini.

On a fresh test site without content I can enable the same module set, including Token, without a problem. But on the live site my /admin/build/modules page is unusable. The main difference between the test and the live site is the large number of content types and fields. Do you think this might cause the blank page issue? Is there a theoretical limit on the amount of CCK tokens that Token can handle? Any advice on how to start investigating?

I'm posting the question here because on my content-free test site Token is working fine. Please let me know if you still think this should be addressed to the Token maintainer.
