I was unable to reproduce this on the latest version of Drupal, using Linkit 6.1.x, following the steps to reproduce, above. I tested setting the link field text both to "Optional" and "Disabled," and confirmed that I was using Link for both the form and the field formatter.
In all tests, the different nodes were rendered correctly -- node/1, then node/2, as shown in the screenshot.
Can you confirm that the site you were testing this on was a generic Drupal site without any other components or custom code installed?
