Applying Exposed Filter to Multiple Views Tabs

I use Views to create a list of movies with four tabs (actor, screenwriter, director, producer). I have an exposed filter for the type of movie (TV series/movie). However, the filter only applies to the active tab. How do I make the filter work for all tabs at the same time?
