Stale formatter settings may lead to errors when field settings change.

Problem/Motivation

When there is a field settings type change and the corresponding display field formatter is not also changed, the existing formatter may not correspond to the field type and lead to fatal errors when rendering saved content.

Proposed resolution

Check for existing formatter in field type formatter plugin options and fallback to default formatter if necessary.
