The link widget has issue in saving external URL

PROBLEM

The link widget has issue for external URL, it's not storing external URL

Steps to reproduce

Adding new component
1) Add component with link
2) Try to add external URL.
3) It will give an error "must have required property 'url'"
Edit existing component
1) Edit an existing component which has link widget.
2) To the URL field added external URL and save
3) it's not storing the external URL value.
