You cannot reference entities programmatically, if the current user cannot view them

I just want to make an issue here as a copy to make user aware of this. I was not aware, when I installed this modules, that even on a programmatical level, these permission hit hard. When the current user cannot *view* a entity node type he may can create it, but cannot reference it later in the process.
