Are the patches or merge requests still needed

I still am using 

        "patches": {
            "drupal/core": {
                "computed base fields to work in Views": "https://git.drupalcode.org/project/drupal/-/merge_requests/4224.diff"
            }
        },

in my composer.json. Is this still needed after all the updates that has been done?

    It seems this patch does no longer apply on recent core versions (10.2.6). Without the patch views containing computed fields do not work - at least on my site.
    There is a more recent patch in the Issue discussed on https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/2981047#comment-15585904 📌 Allow adding computed bundle fields in Views Fixed (The issue is also linked from the README.md).

    If you change the address of your patch to https://www.drupal.org/files/issues/2024-05-08/2981047-190.patch → it should work again.

    After the last Drupal updates (I think since Drupal core 10.3.0) composer threw a warning that the new patch does not apply any more. With the update to Drupal core 10.3.2 I got composer errors and a WSOD.
    At the moment it seems my computed fields work with views. I tried clearing the caches and it seems to work.
    I hope it stays this way.
