Incorrect chart width when printing to PDF on both desktop and mobile

Created on 28 March 2024, 3 months ago

Problem/Motivation

Parent Sep 27, 2013 - https://github.com/highcharts/highcharts/issues/2284
"The problem is that the SVG has a fixed width set in the SVG itself, so it can't be controlled by CSS alone..."

Child Feb 20, 2024 - https://github.com/highcharts/highcharts/issues/20672
"Expected behaviour - Full page width chart should also take the full width of "Print to PDF" page..."

This one has links to test. Ignore the black background that is a separate issue. Setting any color for a chart prints black background.

---

We have business units that print metrics to PDF from the browser for reporting. Only the the left half of the chart is printed. We are limited to bar charts because, at least, all labels can be seen with this chart type. Stacking is also required which displays totals most times. Sometimes the top most bar(s) with the stacked total is not displayed, or pushed out too far to the right.
