Create a group through Rules

Hi all,
I hope someone can give me a hint, on why this doesn't work the way I expected it to work.

Problem/Motivation

By using the Rules → module, I would like to create a group for each node (of a certain type) whenever the node is created. Creating such a rule works perfectly, but it doesn't create a group for some reason.

Steps to reproduce

1. Install "Group" and "Rules".
2. create a group type "Lorem Ipsum" (machine name "lorem_ipsum).
3. Create a Rule with the trigger "After saving a new content item entity of type XYZ"
4. Add action "Create a new group entity" to this rule.
5. Specify "lorem_ipsum" as group type.
6. Set "title" to "node.title.value" to reflect the name of the node as the name of the newly created group.
7. Create an entity of type XYZ.
8. No group is created.

I only found this forum post → with the same issue, but no solution...
