Single Facet Block to filter two views of the same data

Problem/Motivation

I'm working on a property management website that will have a google map which shows all available buildings/units, changing the displayd results based on a Facet Block filter from the Indexed Data source using Serach API.

I'd like to have the map, which works perfectly with Facet Block currently filtering on indexed variables, also filter a secondary view, of the exact same data but listing the buildings/units in a gird view, with images etc.

So the challenge is how do I have two views, both of which would be filtered by a single Facet Block.

So if I choose show me all available buildings in New York then:

1. Map updates to show only those buildings located in New York
2. Grid list of Buildings also updates to only show those buildings located in New York.

Has anyone done something like this before?
