MidCamp 2024 was a success for supporting all attendees. Below are a few highlights and a look forward to the 2025 MidCamp:

In-Person Accessibility

Rented TV monitors for 2 main session rooms to provide live captioning.
Live captioning used Live Captioning Initiative.

Accessibility lanes were established on the floor with painters tape to help with the flow of foot traffic and to make access to the space more accessible.

Event Registration offered a way to privately request accommodations. Accessibility team followed up on each request via email and respected individual privacy.
Accessible Slide Templates available.
Requested that speakers share presentation slides before the event.
Expectations were set with speakers and participants before the event.
Provided transcripts on the website after the event on each individual session page.
Provided improved captions (replacing YouTube's auto-captions) for recordings on YouTube after the event.
