Select 2 multi Search option

Problem/Motivation

This module proves to be highly appealing as an alternative to the 'facets_select2_multi_checkboxes_widget' module, given the latter's apparent lack of maintenance and the need to ensure compatibility with Drupal 10. One of its most notable advantages lies in the fact that, unlike the former 'Select 2 multi', it does not include the option to search for entities when adding them. This absence can be particularly costly and annoying in cases where choosing from a large number of entities is required, such as situations where there are 1500 options to select only 2.

Would it be possible to implement this improvement to allow its use with fields that store a large number of entities? This implementation could significantly benefit both existing sites that already make use of the module and those needing to replace the functionality of the previous module.
